SDHC Rental Assistance Payments Continue Amid Partial Federal Government Shutdown
Amid the ongoing partial federal government shutdown, the San Diego Housing Commission (SDHC) continues to make rental assistance payments for more than 15,000 families with low-income or who previously experienced homelessness in the City of San Diego.
Due to SDHC’s ongoing prudent fiscal management, the agency is in a better position than most public housing authorities across the country to continue providing rental assistance during the partial federal government shutdown. SDHC expects to be able to continue to provide rental assistance without disruption through at least the end of March.
SDHC continues to monitor the situation in Washington, D.C., and will provide updates if the agency anticipates impacts on SDHC or the families it serves.
