Public Records Requests

In compliance with the California Public Records Act, the San Diego Housing Commission (SDHC) provides the community with the opportunity to review and copy public records generated and retained by our agency.  The law does not require us to:

  • Provide staff reports or other documents originating from other city, state or federal agencies
  • Create new documents, such as analysis of information in our data base, in response to records request

Photocopying fees and postage rates apply. Single-sided pages are 15 cents per page; double-sided are 25 cents per page. However, there is no charge for electronic or PDF files that are e-mailed.

To obtain documents, send an e-mail with a detailed request to PublicRecordsRequest@sdhc.org. We will respond within 10 days. Questions about public information requests are handled by  SDHC’s Community Relations and Communications Department at (619) 578-7550.

Public Documents:

Reports generated by SDHC are public documents. These include the agency’s annual budget, Affordable Housing Fund Annual Plan and updates of the agency’s Business Plan. These documents are available in our library.

Media Inquiries:

Press inquiries should be submitted via e-mail to: mediarequests@sdhc.org, or by leaving a voice message at (619) 578-7550.
