Family Self-Sufficiency Program

Local businesses can help families achieve self-sufficiency

Community businesses that participate in this program get the advantage of training new employees for their companies' specific needs. Employers can get involved by providing:

  • Time for consulting on projects and employees who serve as mentors or participate on advisory boards.
     
  • Space for classrooms, meetings, training and employment preparation.
     
  • Equipment, including computer systems, classroom furniture, etc.
     
  • Money to purchase class materials and pay for transportation, child care and other support services.
     
  • Expertise by collaborating on projects and grants
